Part 2:
Graham Hancock - Ayahuasca and the Spirit of the Planet
Could a remarkable hallucinogen used by shamans in the Amazon for
thousands of years be the catalyst for changing human consciousness on
the vast scale that is needed in the 21st century if we are not all to
be destroyed by the power of our illusions, the haste of our greed, and
the folly of our leaders? Graham Hancock thinks so. In this
presentation he talks frankly about his own journeys and lessons with
Ayahuasca, "the vine of souls", and explains why many who have
experienced her are convinced that she alone has the power to heal and
restore the fractured consciousness of mankind and make the planet
whole once again.

Thursday, August 30th

1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
EarthRise: Jim Fournier – Climate Change, Industrial Ecology and Metanature
Scientific reports suddenly shows that we must cut CO2 emissions to zero
in 10 years or less to avoid irreversible catastrophe. This will mean a
social and technological mobilization like WWII on steroids. Several
little known technologies give us hope that we can rapidly cut emissions
and then remove net CO2 from the atmosphere. But the paradoxical good
news is that myriad planetary crises can only be solved by transforming
the whole global mess and the climate crisis will suddenly force all
parties to actually do it for survival.

2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
EarthRise: Kevin Danaher – Building the Green Economy: Success Stories
from the Grassroots

There is a rapidly growing movement focused on strengthening the local
green economy, and it is steadily replacing the top-down, corporate
economy that has been devastating our planet and its people. Kevin will
discuss ways in which we can all help accelerate this transition to a
democratically-organized and nature-friendly economy.

3:30 – 4:45 p.m.
EarthRise: David Shearer Discusses Climate Change and Emerging Technologies
Environmental Scientist David Shearer discusses whether climate change
is real, and if it is - what can we do about it; as well as emerging
technologies to help solve the climate crisis.

4:00 – 5:00 p.m.
EarthRise: Guy Spiro - The Lightwave: Repairing Our Relationship With
the Earth

The spiritual technology with which we already saved humanity once, by
ending the cold war, is just as powerful and needed today. The LightWave
addresses our problems at the level of light and consciousness. The
global meditation and prayer events of the1980's generated a critical
mass of light and in 1989 the world changed overnight. Gaia is alive and
aware of us. She can heal herself of all the pollution of the industrial
revolution, and if enough of us will love her she will. Surf's up, catch
the wave.?

Friday, August 31st

2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

EarthRise: Karri Winn - Consciousness, Conscious Evolution and the Nature of Sustainability
Consciousness is embodied awareness. To know is to perceive directly
with the mind OR the senses. Sensing the body and learning to
differentiate the various subtle realms of the body: physical, mental,
emotional and spiritual through movement and meditation are sorcery
strategies to live into an expanded experience of life; and the
precipice for living into your unique potential that flows like a river
through you. This is an experiential workshop with music.

Saturday, September 1

11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
EarthRise: Andrea Vecchione, Ph.D (ABD) - Dark Energy as Cosmic Trickster (Mother, Can You Spare a Paradigm?)

"Dark energy was there at the creation of the universe, at the big bang, and will continue until "it overwhelms everything", said a scientist in a recent article in the New York Times. To know ourselves, to know history, we journey back to the farthest reaches of our consciousness, beyond time and space to the void in search of our own creation.
In this search we uncover myths, statues, idols, folklore, and scripture that leads us further down the
'worm-hole' of time. Through our excavation we uncover our past and in doing so make transparent the black
from which we all came.

12:30 – 1:30 p.m.

EarthRise: Joel Makower in Conversation with Charles Shaw on the Greening of Big Business

Joel and Charles hold a town hall conversation on the role of mainstream business in the green/clean revolution, including the question of "how good is good enough?" and ways the progressive community can/should engage big business in both parties' mutual quest for a more sustainable world.

1:30 – 2:30 p.m.
EarthRise: Adam Eidinger – Creative Activism in the Belly of the Beast
Christmas is canceled; Santa Clause got shot down over Iraq’s no fly
zone. Bicycle riders swarm an Exxon station to buy “air.” Concerned
citizens give hemp food to DEA agents exposing secret store fronts and
saving delicious food from ban. Citizens take shirts off their backs to
pay for the war. Modern day DC colonists visit the Speaker of the House
with slaves to petition the government for Statehood. The how to guide
to getting arrested three times in just 48 hours. These and other true
stories from life in the Belly of the Beast (Washington, DC) presented
by Adam “Zeb” Eidinger. The presentation will be followed by open
discussion and debate on direct action tactics.

2:30 – 3:30 p.m.
EarthRise: Quayle Hodek - Renewable Energy Coming of Age
Renewable Energy Coming of Age. Talks about how renewable energy is
ready for the mainstream, and businesses large and small are choosing
clean energy to reduce their environmental impact and decrease our
dependence on fossil fuels.

3:33 – 6:30 p.m.
4th Annual BRC Gathering of the Tribes Council
Stay tuned for the Shamanic Cheerleaders and friends heralding the 4th
Annual BRC Gathering of the Tribes Council in the Entheon Main Dome at

Man consciousness into the future.
An awards ceremony will be held at the end for the efforts made to
projects that have been happening to green the Burn.

myths about connecting with the Green Man and Green Woman as a means of
